Eh... it kinda was at times, but I generally liked it. Sora took a better liking to the whole routine, though.

[He's not much of a hugging guy himself, but Xion's... kind of an exception to a lot of things, plus he thinks it'll cheer her up. And that, of course, is typical Sora.]
