Another year later and I'm still not sure about Christmas here. Christmas in Christmas Town's one thing, but otherwise...what's there to do here for Christmas anyway? Maybe I just don't get it...other than watching Sora and company pass out presents. That's different.

I guess I could say Merry Christmas, but I'm not sure it means anything if I still don't get it.

At least they left us alone this year, right? Yeah.

Okay here's the deal. Around Christmas, there's all this cold and snow and stuff, right? And so you get to dress in big puffy coats and make snowmen and have snowball fights and everything! And then you go shopping and buy presents for all your friends and someone has a big party and everyone gets together and has a big meal and exchanges gifts and it's this great time for friends to be friends and then you go to bed and while you're sleeping SANTA comes into your house and drops off ALL THESE PRESENTS and you wake up and open everything and he always knows just what you wanted! And then your mom says she's tired of cooking so you get the whole family together and have dinner at KFC and it's the best tradition because even though it's cold and windy outside it doesn't matter 'cause you're all warm and happy inside and that's the only time everyone can really be that happy together just from being with their friends and family! [Annnnd he breathes.]

Okay, I get all the stuff about Santa, but how come it has to be this specific day? And how's it really any different than a birthday? What if somebody's birthday's on the same day as Christmas, do they just ignore all of the other stuff or what?

And what's KFC?

Oh, I don't know why it's on Christmas. It just is! And it's different from a birthday 'cause it's a day everyone can share together! Like you can walk down the street and say "Merry Christmas" to a stranger and it'll make them smile! And if someone's got a birthday on the same day as Christmas then it kinda sucks for them 'cause then they don't get to have a birthday party earlier in the year and they're kinda missing out. That would be a bummer.

KFC is this place that sells DELICIOUS chicken! EVERYONE goes there on Christmas! It's just what you do.

Oh. That's probably the weirdest thing I've heard lately, but I guess that makes enough sense. Other than the chicken thing, I don't think that's ever going to make sense.
