This may seem random, but what can anybody tell me about that Yuber guy? I need to know.

[ and the journal shuts. she's going to hurry over, because if she hesitates for even a second, she will not go at all. ]

[All right then. Roxas will hang out in his room and wait.]

[ she's home before too long, taking a moment to put away her things and just fidgeting bit before getting up the courage to knock quietly on his door and poke her head into his room. she's white as a sheet. ]

... hey.

[He's busy looking out the window and sitting on his bed, turning his head when she knocks. He won't say anything about her state just yet.] Hey, come on in.

... [ takes a few steps into the room, clearly not too confident. she doesn't come much closer, nor does she sit down anywhere.

it's very abrupt, when she summons the Keyblade. she can't seem to find the words to explain it, anyway. ]

... it's Sora's. He ... he gave it to me weeks ago, when I fought Riku's Replica.

That's...Sora's? [Launching himself off of the bed to look closer] You've had it all this time?

... yes. It's his... and I've had it for over a month.

If ... if something's wrong, and Sora's not as strong as he should be ... it's probably because of this. [ cradles the Keyblade close to her chest, not looking Roxas in the eye. ]

A month? [He's just busy boggling a little because how the hell did he miss that?]

... I didn't know how to tell you. Because ... if Sora's getting weaker ... this means that--

[ cuts herself off. she's trying so hard to be brave, but it's starting to fail. she's very scared. ]

...no. [he's not positive, but he's pretty sure he knows exactly what she means]

[ oh, god. the look on his face and the tone in his voice are too much for her. her expression breaks completely, all the fear and the grief she's been hiding for so long showing through so clearly. she clutches the Keyblade harder, visibly close to tears. it's all she can do to nod. yes. ]

[...no. No way, not cool. Roxas just stares at her for a bit because this is not happening okay thanks. He's suddenly looking rather uncomfortable and a bit distraught. Damn it, it wasn't supposed to be like this.]

[ shaking? shaking a tiny bit. Xion does not want to die, but she knows now, beyond a shadow of a doubt -- thanks to Roxas's confirmation that something is indeed happening to Sora -- that she will. she just shuts her eyes because she can't stand the look on his face. ]

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

[Roxas knows the look is probably a horrible one, but he's pretty terrified at the idea. It's too familiar.] You can't. You can't.

... [ just shakes her head. ] There's nothing I can do. There's only one way to stop this now that it's started. If Sora falls asleep... we won't have any choice.
