perplexme | Forty-Seventh Keychain-[Action]

[If a person were to look out toward the forest in the early evening, they might see a bunch of bright lights flashing and disappearing every now and again. If a person were to go investigate, they would find Roxas out there wielding Oathkeeper and Oblivion, jumping and twirling the Keyblades occasionally and using his light powers to full advantage fighting off this beast that towers over him and that ambushed him on his way home. Really, Roxas was doing fine on his own and he almost had the other Nobody beat when suddenly something flashes out of the corner of his eye and another strange monster bearing the same Nobody crest seemingly floats up to the Twilight Thorn, attacking with a flurry of blade movements and eliminating the creature all together. Roxas stares for a moment, half wondering where the other creature came from and half wondering why it attacked the Thorn. Samurais shouldn't be listening to him anymore, right?]

Um. Thanks?

[Sure. All well and good, all right. Roxas is going to nod in thanks, assume that the Nobody will go away on its own and begin walking away. The problem, however, is that this particular Samurai seems to think that Roxas still controls him. Even when he picks up speed, Roxas finds himself being tailed by the Nobody all the way back to the main part of the village.]

...no really, I mean it. Thanks, but you're done. [The Samurai doesn't want to leave though. He's happy hovering over Roxas.]

Go. Away.

[It's a stubborn thing. So? If a person were to be brave enough to venture into town, they would see a looming gray monster and a short blond boy having a staring contest. Make of that what you will.]

[ooc: characters can either encounter Roxas in the village with just the Samurai, or at the end of the fight with the Twilight Thorn. Up to you guys.]

Mm. Yeah. I know some people who have at least met their stalkers before, but there are others who don't know why they're following them.

The latter one. And you? I don't suppose you know what creature this is, do you?

Surprisingly? The latter. These guys were actually sort of common back home.

The only common ones from back home attacked me, so I'm not too fond of them. At least this one's not hostile, though squeakier than I'd like.

They used to follow me around at home, but we're not home so I'm not sure what the story is now. At least they seem kind of harmless? Why'd it start following you around anyway?

This place works in mysterious ways. I'm not sure, really. It found me, took a liking to me, and now it won't leave me alone. I tried losing it a few times, but... here he is.

Tell me about it. Maybe it's just lost or something, but from the sounds of it a lot of people are starting to bond with these things.

Do you think they're staying around? Some people might be disappointed the moment they leave.

Could be. The barrier's acting up still, so maybe they'll get to stay with us. In some cases, that might be really bad though.

Well, I don't really think I'd like to keep them around for too long. One too many monsters in this village.

But can you imagine what this place would be like if it was actually peaceful? We'd probably be bored stiff.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather be bored than in constant danger. Besides, we could always start our own adventures.

I've spent a lot of the last year before I wound up here being bored. Maybe not constant danger, but at least it's something. What kind of adventures could we even have here?

I'm not sure. Treasure-hunting's been all I'm doing, if you can even consider it that. There's not a lot to go on with the apartments.

This place is in that weird place between being civilized and being in the middle of nowhere. ...you haven't actually found any treasure here, have you?

Of course not. I'm not exactly trying too hard.

Maybe your new friend can help. [A nod to the dragon still hovering by Ted's head.]

I don't know about that. [He looks at it warily.] It keeps attacking everything.

That thing? [This is a blatant look of "I call bullshit."] There's no way it can actually cause that much damage.

[For the most part, Roxas manages to be calm but that does make him start suddenly. Jeeze, thanks for the warning little weird dragon thing.]

...I changed my mind. They can all go home. Soon.

I'm sure they'd want that just as much as we do anyway. [He chuckles.]

Everybody except this guy apparently. [The Samurai has somehow moved closer so it's hovering directly behind Roxas, shadowing him.] I can't figure out how to bribe him either.
