Man...I need to get out more. The rain's never stopped me before, but it's almost getting too cold. It's going to turn into snow soon, and then I'm really stuck. Makes me wonder...

You can hardly expect the weather patterns to remain the same in a place like this. Or any place, for that matter. You will merely see trends.

I would be easiest if one knew the general climate of this area, but having a rainy fall is not unusual.

We know so little about the place as it is. You can hardly expect me to make a detailed observation of the weather patterns in addition to everything that I've already been working on.

Actually, yes. That doesn't sound like a bad idea.
