So Luceti...what exactly makes a person real or not? What qualities and characteristics mean that a person exists instead of just being a weird figment? Trust me, it's important.

Dark blue with red eyes. They moved a lot like Shadows, but the differences end there.

He knows about a lot of the places I've been to, and he knows about other things, but there are some things he talks about I've never heard. He doesn't really act like me either, so it's hard to say. That's what I want to find out.

[pen taps] Wouldn't it be best to ask him then?

Okay...when the island first got attacked, Riku disappeared or whatever, but Kairi lost her heart. Sora didn't know it at the time, but her heart actually disappeared inside his own. So he went on his way fighting and saving the worlds with Donald and Goofy, but once he learned that Kairi's heart was locked inside him, he...basically stabbed himself to take his own heart, to free hers. When a person loses their heart to the darkness, they become a Heartless, and that's what happened with Sora. But Kairi brought him back to the light and he became human again.

...the thing is, when a Heartless is made, the body and mind and soul of a person has to go somewhere. In our world, those things create a Nobody. Make sense?

What? [What the hell, where does Vanitas get off doing stuff like that?] Maybe they're those ones that Ventus was talking about...I'd never heard of them before then.

Sorta. He had help from Donald and Goofy and a few other friends he met along the way...Riku and Kairi, too.

...I don't know. Right now all we can do is keep a close watch on them. See what they're up to. I'm not as worried about Ventus harming people as I am Vanitas, but the fact that we both look like him? It's too weird...it makes me want to know why.

That'd be a great theory if he'd actually talk about it.

Not really. Once a person's born from somebody else, they're going to be incomplete until they rejoin their Other, or until they're destroyed. That's just how it is. [Eh. May as well just keep talking about Nobodies in particular.]

He doesn't have a lot of answers. I've already tried. [Except for the part where he hasn't flat-out asked if Ven's really the same person or what.]

To make a longer story short, let's just go with this. When Sora lost his heart, a Nobody was created.

That's me.

[Okay, that part he gets.] And how does that new guy fit into all of this?

That's the part we're not sure of yet. I can't figure that out. He doesn't know who Sora is.
