Anyway... [This is hard to talk about. The ink gathers after that word as he tries to figure out how to phrase this and wonders why he's telling someone he hasn't met something like this, but he'll start writing again after a moment of thought.]

Like I said, so long as that person's actions and reactions are not determined by consciousness of another individual, then they can be considered to be a "person". Even if they are dependent on another person to function.

[He'll be aware that he's handling this pretty poorly when he calms down, but right now it's probably pretty evident if Axel looks hard enough that Roxas is really freaked out.]
