Fifty-Seventh Keychain - [Voice/Action]

[Private, 90% Locked only because it's not that secretive.]

1,095 days. Maybe I should stop counting, but I can't stop. It's weird...it's like nothing's changed, but everything has. In the last three years, I've seen my best friends come and go, I've seen Sora come and go, and I've met someone who looks just like me and a psychopath who kept hurting my friends. But in the last three years, Axel's still as goofy as ever, Xion's learning just as much as I am, and the two of them have stuck with me even with all of my strange thoughts and patterns. I guess that's really what friendship is.

It took three or four tries, but I think I finally understand Sora. I'm still not sure what it all means to me, but I can at least say I feel better about things.

I guess...I've grown. We all have. But what happens after that? Do we all keep growing, or are we going to run out of places to grow? Maybe I'll have an answer to that next year.

[/Private]

...what's the longest amount of time any of you ever thought you'd be here? And were you guys disappointed when that amount of time passed? [Not if. When.] Not to scare the New Feathers or anything, but I know a lot of you out there have been here for a while.

Maybe I should say welcome to the new people anyway. I'm Roxas. I'm not sure how I can, but let me know if I can help somehow.

...oh,Axel and Xion? I know you guys are probably busy but I've got something for you. You know where to find me...and anyway I have something to ask you two. [On the roof, specifically.]

Sora you can come, too. And Ven. And...whoever. [He's got enough to share with everybody really.]

[[ooc: as a side note, currently at work and tags may be slow but I wanted to get this post up. Thanks guys!]]

Really? I would have guessed you were closer to sixty five at this point but I suppose it all depends on what you've been attempting to learn all this time. Have you only been studying your own world's information or various worlds?
fortuneprince: (Naoto | Well it's just that..)

Yes, it's completely understandable. As the amount of knowledge available expands, the knowledge that you currently possess turns out to be less than you originally thought. [ ...That being said, her percentage is probably lower than she thought. She needs to hit the library, stat]

If it'll help you any, I'll tell you anything you'd like to know about my world.

[You can probably hear the smile in her voice]

When I was brought here, the year back home was 2012. As to what it's like there--that all depends on what area of Japan you're talking about. In the cities it's obviously going to be busy with businessmen and in the more rural areas, there are farms. [And then a thoughtful hum]

As for what's changed, that depends on what you have read about Japan. Over the years multiple things have changed, such as technology and the economy.

1950? That is quite the time gap. [Give her a second to think this over]

By then the world war had ceased so you must've read about that and the bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. [Gathering what she remembers...] After the war, Japan was reverted back to it's original small islands off the coast of Asia. Even though Japan had just been defeated by the United States, in 1951 they formed a treaty with them and other countries in order to gain sovereignty. By terms of the treaty, they were to allow the United States to use naval bases so they could fight against the Koreans in the cold war.

Of course, as you can imagine, this didn't please many people. In 1960, when the United States was proclaimed the military protection of Japan, it caused an uproar. It was only in the 1970's that the United States was able to gain some of the control over the islands through the city of Okinawa and began to calm down the citizens due to it's positive impact on the country.

After the cold war, Japan then began the Heisei era, in which time they went through a very rapid economic incline and the people lead prosperous lives for years. It was only in 1995 when an earthquake ruined said prosperity, killing and injuring thousands of people and homes, in turn costing the government trillions of yen to rebuild and recover from the incident.

So for years they slowly recovered and advanced their studies in technology and medicine. Though after the prime minister resigned in 2010, nothing significant happened. That is, unless you wish to hear about what I had gone through in 2011 with Souji and the others though that technically wouldn't be considered Japanese history since the only people who knew were a group of teenagers and a few adults. [ ... ] I apologize, am I rambling?

[Smiling at his enthusiasm] I can understand how reading up to such a point would make it appear to be the end, but your welcome in any case. I'm glad I got the chance inform you of the later events.

Yes, what had occurred in 2011 with myself and my friends had to do with the Personas. What exactly would you like to know about it?
fortuneprince: (Naoto | Perhaps)

It all actually began with a simple handshake. A Goddess by the name of Izanami took the form of a human and used the opportunity to discover man's desire and decided to grant it. By using physical contact, she awoke the persona ability within three people.

Those three people all contained one specific trait each that she thought may be beneficial to her plan; Despair, emptiness and hope. Seta Souji carried the trait of hope, Taro Namatame held despair and Tohru Adachi held emptiness. Though those people were the only three meant to contain the power of the persona, Izanami had not foreseen us obtaining it as well. In fact, she had expected us to die by the hands of our own shadows. So we were not granted that power automatically like them, we were forced to face ourselves before hand inside the TV.

Well you see, a shadow and a persona are technically the same creature, the only difference is that a shadow is the untamed ego of it's master and a persona is basically that shadow, but tamed. It's only natural that you reject something you do not wish to see or hear and unfortunately, that's what gives a shadow power. That's why you must defeat it so you can accept the truth about yourself.

If you mean how long I fought the truth about myself then around six years.

Though the actual fighting I never did.
