Fifty-Eighth Keychain - [Voice/Action]

[Housemates will probably find Roxas in the kitchen with newspapers on the table, a palate of paint, some paper...and a very disgruntled cat who doesn't understand why his human wants him to dip his pretty paws in the wet colors.]

Nea, come on. You were doing really well, too. You can't just give up now.

[There's a hiss from the cat before he swats at the paint palate. Roxas sighs and shakes his head, giving up for now. Artists can be pretty temperamental, after all. Instead he'll focus himself on the journal, opening it up and idly leafing through it. His conversation with Naoto's been on his mind, and he has an important question.]

So...what's the main difference between being a boy and being a girl? I mean, girls can do things boys can, right? So what difference does it make? [He doesn't quite get why people were upset with Naoto for being a girl detective, that's all.] Answer me that.

And answer me this: how come everyone else got a horse last week except for me? Total bummer.

I've got something cool to show you, but you have to go to the battle dome with me.

Do you need anything? [He's worried about you, bff dos. He's in overprotective mode now.]

Huh, let's see.. I think I once read an article like that that was talking about how men can read maps much better than women for some reason.

Oh, I ran into someone like that too! [Now that he thinks about it, he kinda sounded like this guy... but a lot higher. Huh.]

I guess he was supposed to be Snow White? Though... I think I might've just made things harder for him.

Oh so we're doing that whole walking thing.

Pfft, for you maybe.

Thanks. Not too many people seem to recognize my talents until it's too late. [ because hundreds of blades is A Very Big Issue. ]

That's true. I can prove that both female and males are equal, but then again, my scrolls shouldn't be limited in this environment since it came pre-loaded. Sealing all of the items back up may take more work since my chakra reserves are a bit low, but I don't think I'll be fighting here often either.

[What. Whaaaaat.] ... Eh, sorry, but I kinda have to think it's weird?

Are you two twins, maybe?

I usually don't bother to use maps, but they don't seem all that hard to read to me either. But it seems some people seriously have problems with doing that sort of thing.

Investigating people and determining whether or not they're qualified to give answers is a particular process. Isn't that what you said you're doing?

Just that I'm pretty unforgettable.

[Ego. She has one.]

Anyway, you could just give 'em a punch in the nose!

A little oceanic creature. Have you ever played chess?

Seahorses look similar to one of the chess pieces: a knight.

It's just their name. Seahorse. I'm pretty sure the chess thing is why they were named that, since they look and act nothing like regular horses.

In Japanese they're called sangotatsu: which roughly means coral dragon. That comes from an old Japanese story that seashorses are actually ocean dragons in a sort of... baby form.

No. I've seen a real dragon before. Even before coming here, I mean. Their snouts are kind of similar to a seahorse's, but that's about it. I guess bundled up their tails are similar too. Similar, not the same. It makes as much as sense as naming them after a board game piece really.

[identity profile] projectiled.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I guess.

Well, I fought often and usually had matches back to back. Yet, two to three weeks here and I've only been sparring, not getting into dangerous situations or heated conflict. Compared to what I did back home, which was fight often, I wouldn't be doing any of that here. In short, it's more of a relative term, I guess.
