[Housemates will probably find Roxas in the kitchen with newspapers on the table, a palate of paint, some paper...and a very disgruntled cat who doesn't understand why his human wants him to dip his pretty paws in the wet colors.]

[There's a hiss from the cat before he swats at the paint palate. Roxas sighs and shakes his head, giving up for now. Artists can be pretty temperamental, after all. Instead he'll focus himself on the journal, opening it up and idly leafing through it. His conversation with Naoto's been on his mind, and he has an important question.]

So...what's the main difference between being a boy and being a girl? I mean, girls can do things boys can, right? So what difference does it make? [He doesn't quite get why people were upset with Naoto for being a girl detective, that's all.] Answer me that.

And answer me this: how come everyone else got a horse last week except for me? Total bummer.

That should depend on the people and the circumstances surrounding them. Some are more willing to mold their opinions than others.

Okay so what do you think about all of it?

I believe that while the differences set the two sexes apart, we are essentially on equal grounds as everything balances out.

Why do you ask?

A friend of mine was telling me about how people don't like her for being a girl back home because she's really good at what she does. I think she was really upset, so I wanted to understand better.

This sounds like a matter that'd be better kept between the two of you. Have you talked to her about it any more?

Not really. I wanted to get more answers first before I tried again. Why?

If you're trying to understand her situation, it'd make more sense to ask her directly about the standards of her society.

I've already asked her. Isn't the first thing about good research is to gather facts from all of your resources?

Yes. However, it's also important to keep the information consistent. A woman's place in a monarchy or a republic wouldn't be perceived the same way, for example.

Well that's what the sorting process is. Once I get everything, I'd start to pick it all apart and put it into categories to reference later. I guess it's just how I do things.

Well, I wouldn't say everything. Most of what I know is from books.

That's probably more than what we have. We didn't have a lot of books where I'm from, so all of our answers were really...vague. [Which is basically shorthand for "we didn't have books at all and everybody fed me lies and I didn't believe them since there wasn't concrete proof."]

What would you say you have the most answers to then?
