Sixtieth Keychain - [Voice/Action]
[It all started in the morning. Roxas got up bright and early, wasting some time in the library before returning to KH house in the early afternoon. He was determined to drag Axel out of bed to go to the battle dome with him. However, when he entered the other Nobody's bedroom, he didn't see anything. He clicks on the journal then and he's not addressing it just yet as he makes his way around the house, just to see if he can find him.
There's no sign of him being home.

...okay, Axel. If you didn't want to go out and train with me today all you had to do was say so. [He's going back to the other Nobody's room to give it another sweep.] Don't you think we're getting a little old for hide and seek? [And he's dropping to his knees, crawling around and looking under the bed and things.
And it's about then he remembers he has a rather useful device in his hands. He'll peer into the camera then to deliver his message.]
Hey, hi, listen. Have any of you seen Axel? Tall guy, bright read hair? Usually in a heavy black coat, snarks a lot? I mean it's not that big of a deal but I would really like to fi--
[It's then he sees a slip of paper that appears to have accidentally fallen under there. He makes a quick grab for it and sits on the floor, unfolding it and subconsciously mumbling to himself.]
...'nother "see ya" for now. I know I promised I wasn't going anywhere...
...I don't go away that easily...
...No!
[And he's taking off like a shot, journal in his hand as he bolts out of KH house and toward the village.]
You dummy, you can't be gone. Don't do this to me again!
[He's not going to stop for anything. Good luck getting him to slow down, but someone's on a mission to find the redhead, not fully believing the Nobody's disappeared from Luceti all together.]

[action]
Axel's gone.
Axel's dead.
Axel will never be with them ever again now that he's left.
With that realization he finds himself curling up slightly in the snow, staring straight ahead. He silently waited for Xion to catch up, knowing that he had to give her a chance. They were all they had left now, weren't they?
Really, it just hurt far more than it should have for someone who wasn't supposed to really have a heart. What hurt worse was that this was the second time he's lived through this same thing, and this time it was much harder to believe he'd ever see his friend again. It was that realization that made him go completely numb, continuing to lay still and silent as he waited for his other best friend to approach.]
[action]
And then it doesn't matter because she's on her knees in the snow beside him, dragging him up with sheer brute force so she can wrap her arms around him and hang on. Just hang on, like maybe she can keep him here if she just holds on tightly enough. ]
[action]
Roxas, on principle, doesn't cry often. Xion's usually the one out of the three of them that cried, but this time he was allowing himself to completely break again. He didn't dare try to speak yet, just curling up and gripping onto her just to make sure she wouldn't disappear on him too as he continued to sob.]
[action]
Has she ... ever heard him cry before?
(Maybe, maybe, like an echo, a dream, the sound of her name whispered to the wind, caught on a choked breath...)
For once, bizarrely, for maybe the first time in a situation like this, Xion doesn't cry. Her eyes are too wide and bone dry, like she maybe forgot how, or someone stopped all her tears, stole them away, and maybe gave them to Roxas instead. Grief tears at her chest, clawing below her rib cage, but she just holds onto Roxas and doesn't cry and wishes she could. ]
[action]
Do you...do you think we'll ever see him again?
[action]
[ Her voice is as soft as his. Not small, so much as extremely, carefully gentle. ]
Maybe ... maybe it won't be here. But we will, Roxas. I know it.
[action]
[action]
[ Her throat almost closed on those words. This is hard. So, so hard. ]
[action]
...should we go inside now?
[action]
[action]
[action]
[ A little grim, but also a reminder that it's something they have, they share, together. And one of the few, real, tangible and physical things that really is.
She stands, and offers him her hand. ]
[action]
So...we have to make the most of it not just for us but for him too, huh?
