I only have one simple question for everybody.

[Which is a surprise in and of itself. For Roxas, who generally asks lots of questions and pokes and prods at everything, simple isn't exactly something that fits in his vocabulary.]

What do you do when you've run out of things to do? [A pause.] I mean I've been here for 1,558 days. My cat refuses to keep up his painting and skateboarding lessons. ~~Axel's still gone, and Xion has Luke.~~ Time...moves really fast, and I guess I'm just now noticing.

At least it's close to Christmas again. I've really grown to like the snow and the holiday, maybe almost as much as Sora. Heh. All right, I don't think anyone can love Christmas as much as he can. That'll be something to keep me busy for a while, but what then? I think I've read almost every book in the library by now. Is there more that I can learn still, or does it all just stop?

Anyway, I don't really expect an answer, but I'd appreciate it if anyone had some advice.

Believe me, Roxas. I've spent the better part of a year trying to become stronger-- and that goes for more than just fighting.

I might've been the one to become master, but I'm not about to let it go to my head. Especially with what was at stake back then.

...So what's he like?

Not quite two weeks ago. I requested a mission I could not possibly have carried out in what is my usual state for Luceti, and so the Malnosso removed the seal from my memories. They have yet to return it.

Because you're better off friends, aren't you?

Besides, you never know what kind of mysteries you'll find out there doing other stuff, right?

I'm not saying you haven't. I'm just saying don't let it slide.

He's...really big. And kind of jolly unless Jack's interfering with Christmas.

Do you think maybe they won't ever return the seal?

I'm still failing to see the difference here.

[Her first response is a short laugh.] Well, it depends on the kid. It's not too bad for a short while with some even if you aren't very good at it, but it's usually a lot of work.

I bet. I've got enough on my plate trying to care for a cat. I bet trying to take care of a kid's even harder. So why do you do it?

I dunno, it seems a lot safer than skateboarding, even if it's not as fun. Then again, dogs seem to have enough fun doing it, so maybe it is fun after all.

I guess I can ask him and see what he thinks. Maybe he will like fetching.

Oh well. How's it going, Emil?

Pretty good... now that you mention it, I'm kind of excited for Christmas. I wonder if we'll get any presents from the Malnosso this year?

I hope so...what would you ask for?

I dunno. I can't really think of anything specific I want. It's kind of hard to make a list when you can just go to the store and get almost anything you want for free.

That's sort of my feeling on it, too. Maybe we should just ask for freedom for Christmas.

Something tells me that's the one thing they aren't going to give us.

It's worth a shot, right?
