[Never mind the colored pawprints that are appearing on the journal pages. Roxas is too focused on the task at hand to really care that his painting prodigy cat is using his journal for scrap paper. Soon, words carefully appear on the page in neat handwriting.]

Okay. Toxona and I have been thinking...all of this started Sunday, right? At least that's when weird things started for us. We wanted to know if anyone remembers some big event that happened that day that could have caused all of us to walk away with scrambled memories and different ideas. Please let us know if you have any leads. We'll be in the library all day.

[He then turns to his friend and business partner, Toxona, who's sitting next to him in the library. She's busy writing notes on another sheet of paper, and Nea the cat is on the table between them. Roxas is going to ignore his cat who's pawing at the journal and focus his attention on the girl.]

So Xion's convinced I'm supposed to know who Jixsan is. Has she said anything to you at all?

Jixsan? [Toxona looks up from her paperwork to shake her head.] No, she hasn't. It's been a few days since we last spoke, actually. Did she tell you anything about this person aside from their name?

[He shakes his head a bit.] Not a lot, but the guy looked a lot like Sanji. I don't know, she's not the only one acting weird. You saw Luke's eyes, right? I'm still trying to figure that one out...and it's like he doesn't even remember...you know. [About how he's dating Xion, he means. Nea the cat is growing bored with this conversation though and is going to continue making pawprints on the journal, walking right over the pages...and right on the voice function button of the journal.]

Sanji... [Pausing briefly to think on that name, not paying any attention to the bored cat. She isn't as acquainted with Sanji as the others are, but the name kinda rings a bell. She blinks at his next statement though] ...Yes, I was able to notice Luke's eyes. It's baffled me but this is a bit more of a surprise. Has he completely forgotten about it?

He hasn't said anything about it, and he hasn't been hanging out with her as much as he used to. He's actually been around Kairi more...I think the only one who's normal right now is Riku...which kind of doesn't help us much. What about your friends that you've made here? Are they any different?

We should speak to him personally about the matter then. I'd like to know if his own memory is as it was before or not. As for my friends... [A thoughtful hum] Rise and Roji both appeared to have changed slightly. Not in appearance, but their personalities and memories. I do not believe any others have changed significantly.

Maybe we should start holding interviews with people. You know, interrogations and get the whole story and see if we can piece things together. [Nea meows at Roxas then, tail swishing and looking into the camera of the journal.] Not now, Nea. [He pets the cat's head though.] I mean maybe there is an experiment going on, sure, but this seems really tame even for them. I don't get it. [The cat meows again, and Roxas looks away from Toxona, a bit irritated.] What? [And it's then that he notices the fact that the voice button is pressed down.] Nea, get off! [And there's a loud hiss along with some meowing before Roxas scrambles to disconnect the feed. Maybe they'll get lucky and all of that didn't just get blasted to the whole village...]

[She opens her mouth to respond to his suggestion, only to close it when Nea starts to hiss at Roxas. Siiiiiigh. That cat really doesn't like him. She stands and walks over to the other side of the table to try and pick the cat up.]

I don't understand why you insisted on bringing Nea to the library, of all places.

Because I thought he'd do better in a quiet environment where he can let his creativity out. [He's pointing at the paw prints on the page and the paint palette next to it.] Maybe I should have asked him first.

[She chuckles a little and pets Nea's back once he's in her arms]

Do you believe he would have replied to you saying 'yes'?

[Nea's pretty happy with Toxona at least, even if he's still staring at Roxas.]

It's possible. We're still working on voice lessons.

How far has he gotten in these lessons? [Roxas tries to teach this cat so many things Toxona can't keep up]

Farther than a normal cat should. That's why I still thing there's something about animals being born in Luceti. [Currently, though, Nea's busy just lolling around in Toxona's arms.]

If there are strange qualities that native animals have here, it wouldn't be particularly surprising. The differences in people and animals vary between each world. [And to think this cat wanted to shred Roxas to pieces just a second ago. Scratching under his chin now]

[Well you don't do stupid things like Roxas does. There's a difference.] I think it's something we should look into after we figure this out more. Up for the case?

Of course. You know I could never turn down something like that. [She places Nea down on her side of the table, to keep him away from Roxas, then sits down]

[Nea's going to curl up into a ball to take a nap, freeing up the pair of them to continue working.] I figured. But let's figure this out first. What else do we know about this week that we haven't written down yet?

[Good question Roxas. Toxona is just going to start flipping through some of the papers that she had been writing on earlier.]

Hm. Unfortunately, there isn't all too much that we do know at the present. We are well aware of the fact that a good majority of the population had gone missing Sunday and an experiment affected quite a large number of us as well. Who exactly has been affected is unknown as we're all confused and recall different things.

...did we disappear Sunday?

[She taps her pen against her head]

...To be honest, I don't recall anything from Sunday. It's a possibility that we had been two of the many who had gone missing.

But here's what I don't get. How come I don't remember anything different than it's always been? Everyone else remembers different things.

It's possible that we're the ones who have altered memories, Roxas. In this situation, it's difficult for anyone to tell who is affected and who isn't. We want to believe in what we remember, but what memories we possess now may be lies.

They can't be lies though. I remember Xion and I remember you and I remember your notes and everything about the Organization, how can all of that be a lie?

I don't know... [She frowns a little and sighs. She doesn't want to believe it's a lie since they're her memories, the only memories she's ever had that weren't Naoto's. But the way things have been going this week.. ]

...it's not a lie, okay. You're not a lie.

I hope not. [Trying to play it off cool with a smile isn't working that well so she sits up straight and looks back at her notes, clearing her throat]

I believe interviewing people like you suggested will help so that would be the best course of action for now.

[The idea of Toxona not being more than a lie really makes him mad, but he's going to bite the inside of his cheek to move on.]

Okay. How many should we get?

As many as we can. We can't simply piece the puzzle together with only a few people's testimonies, especially considering the circumstances.

Guess we have to start ambushing people. We already have most of the testimonies of our housemates at least. I think that's a pretty good start.

That's the best start we can possibly get. [The worst being that they have absolutely nothing] We should choose the people we question carefully. If we ask random people, we won't be able to connect the dots. Our information will be all of the place.

We definitely should ask the people that are claiming to know you as something else. Who else?

Anyone we happen to be friends with. They remember us differently despite how they have been changed as well.
