Forty-Fifth Keychain-[Written/Potentially Action for Axel and Xion]

So...if people you know are keeping secrets from you, should you bother asking them about it until they cave in, or just believe them when they say it's for your own good? How would you know it's for your own good...actually, how would they know? It's your good, not theirs, right?

[He left this unfiltered from certain people on purpose, mostly hoping he could draw out the answers he wanted. The strikes aren't too legible, but if a person squinted enough and tilted their head, they could probably make them out.]

So you still can't fully remember anything from the last time, huh?

Xion has told me everything, but I know there's something I'm missing. Both of you keep giving each other these looks.

...I don't know what else could be missing then.

I didn't think anything could have been missing from what you told me about Castle Oblivion the first time, but then you told me about what you did. You didn't tell me for over two years. I didn't know about anything with Xion, but she told me you knew other things you weren't telling me. She told me things about you that you haven't told me yourself, and it's not fair.

So...you tell me. What else could be missing?

[He pauses, just staring there are Roxas almost blankly. Honestly there was a lot of things he hasn't told Roxas or anyone, and as more time passes it's harder to keep track of what he has told them and what he hasn't. He closes his eyes a moment and then laughs quietly, shaking his head before looking at Roxas again.]

Man, you really do keep the dates memorized.

Stop it. [This was the one thing that drove him crazy about Axel, if anyone confronted him, he'd just change the subject or talk in circles. He didn't want this to get ugly, but he was starting to reach the end of his rope. What if Axel knew something that could save Sora and Xion? He'd tell him, right? He hoped so.]

Axel. [He would expand on that, but he was hoping that just saying the other Nobody's name would get his point across.]

[Hey, it was worth a shot. But Roxas was serious, and Axel knew it was impossible to get out of it.]

There might be a lot you're missing, there might not be. Hard to keep track anymore.

Maybe you should just tell me everything that you know. Start from the beginning and I'll tell you what I already know and what I don't.

Which beginning? Yours?

Do you really want to know mine? It's not that interesting.

Maybe another time...you were there for a while before me and Xion. So, start from there.

[Clears his throat.]

Well. There I was, minding my own business walking around Twilight Town when out pops the Superior to give me a surprise mission. That mission was to babysit you. You had just been 'born' and you were completely out of it. Didn't even remember I took you up to the clocktower for ice cream that day. I knew about Sora by that point from what Xemnas had told us, and I knew you were his Nobody. After that they made me sort of like your mentor and a week after you were brought to the Organization Xion was brought in. I really didn't know who or what she was then.

After I came back from Castle Oblivion we all became friends, remember? And when Xion stopped being able to use the Keyblade I managed to get Saix to put you guys on the same missions. Then when Xion found out about what she was she ran away, and I guess that's when she came into contact with Riku for the first time. It was around that time I was told what she was. And it wasn't that hard to understand what the Organization planned on doing.

Once Xion ran away I got the orders to bring her back. You found her first in Twilight Town but I had to knock her out to bring her back. You started to get weaker after that and she just got stronger. The Organization at that point decided you weren't needed anymore, so they decided to move on with Xion's programming. They tried to get you guys to fight each other but I stepped in before that could happen. Xion ran away again and I was once again given the orders to bring her back. I found her in Twilight Town in front of the old mansion, and she wouldn't budge. She made me fight her. And I won, barely. Once I brought her back to the castle I passed out... and that's was the last time I saw her. I don't know what happened after that point.

Then you left and I now had to go after you. Found you in the fake Twilight Town. You know the rest, right?

[That...is a lot of information to take in. He's just going to stare at him blankly for a minute before he fills in the rest of the story.] I had to fight Xion as a monster, I killed her, she died in my arms, and then all of those memories got erased. Yeah, I know the rest.

...Axel, if you knew what she was and what was happening to her, why didn't you tell me?

Guess I thought I was doing what was best for you. Not like I don't regret now not telling you.

Why? Why would you think that not telling me what was happening to one of our best friends would be best for me? Maybe I could have helped stop it the first time if I knew sooner.

Roxas, nothing you could have done would have stopped it.

How do you know?

All right, what would you have done?

[He falters at that, because he didn't really expect that question.] I...don't know, but we could have thought of something I bet.

[There's a long pause from him before he sighs.]

You can blame me, that's fine, but I can't take none of that back now. So I don't know what to tell you.

I didn't say that you could. It just makes me wonder what else you're still keeping from me. [He makes his own pause then.]

Axel, have you ever told me the whole truth the entire time we've been friends?

[This answer is going to hurt. Never mind it shouldn't, but he knows it is. Even not answering would be giving it away, so he has no choice-]

...[Yup. That's kind of what he was afraid of, and he's just going to shake his head, breaking eye contact completely.] ...why?
