So...if people you know are keeping secrets from you, should you bother asking them about it until they cave in, or just believe them when they say it's for your own good? How would you know it's for your own good...actually, how would they know? It's your good, not theirs, right?

I can't settle for waiting and doing nothing until it's over.

I never believe anyone who says it's for my own good. I mean, what would they know what's good for me? I figure I know well enough what's good for myself, thanks. Pressure 'em until they spill.

That's my point, most people should be able to take care of themselves and handle the truth.

I think it depends on what it's about. Sometimes there are things your friends just won't tell you about; it doesn't make them not your friends to have secrets then. [ He doesn't go around asking for all of his nakama's flashback stories, after all. ]

I don't like it when people keep things from me that are important. They can't know if it's really good for you not to know or not.

From the sounds of it nobody likes it, but it happens anyway. I guess I just don't understand it, and I want to know why people do it. Especially because of that, they can't know if it's really good or not, even if they are your friends.

Is there any way of convincing people that it's less painful to just say everything they know? Like if it might potentially save somebody else.

They don't know. And it's impossible for you to truly know either.

Whether you choose to ask or to believe them isn't something that other people can really advise you on properly I don't think.

Regardless of the path of action you can only truly know one outcome. You can't ever compare, only make what seems to be the best decision at the time.

I'm sure most people have. And most people have probably been on both ends at one point. When people care for others they can become selfish in their desire to protect others.

Xion's up on the roof right now, and once she sees this entry, she's nooot entirely sure she even wants to come down and talk to him in person, or risk running into Axel. Instead she just replies verbally with a sigh. ]

[ don't mind her, man. she feels guilty for all the times she's kept secrets from him anyway, both at home and in Luceti. she feels like she owes him too, even if that's not really true. still, she'll skirt around that part for now. ]
