So...if people you know are keeping secrets from you, should you bother asking them about it until they cave in, or just believe them when they say it's for your own good? How would you know it's for your own good...actually, how would they know? It's your good, not theirs, right?

His memories are getting drained. Not on purpose, but it's happening anyway. It's happened before I guess.
