So Luceti...what exactly makes a person real or not? What qualities and characteristics mean that a person exists instead of just being a weird figment? Trust me, it's important.

Well, that's because Keybearers are supposed to protect the world order. We... "watch over the light from the shadows". Our world's kinda a secret except to other Masters and apprentices.

Yeah, I know what Keybearers do. Save the worlds and all that. So nobody except for other Masters and apprentices know it exists at all?

Well, as far as I know, it's just Keybearers. I've only lived there for a few years, but the only visitor we ever got was Master Xehanort.

...yeah. I use them, too. [The Keyblades, he means.]

I... I dunno if he's got any apprentices. I didn't actually talk to him, and the only other Keybearers I know are my friends, Mickey, and Vanitas.

Vanitas can wield a Keyblade. But he doesn't train with you and your friends, does he?

No, and I didn't even know he had one until we fought. That guy's a huge mystery.

He's really vague about everything, and I haven't seen him since we met in the Badlands. All I know is that he uses the darkness to travel between worlds.

[Hmm...maybe this Vanitas guy is a Nobody like the rest of them? But no, that's not possible because Sora already has a Nobody, thank you. And he's too advanced to be a Heartless, so how...] He uses the darkness how, exactly? Portals?

Yeah, portals! He just opens them up and disappears. One time I did see him in the Lanes Between, though.

The Lanes Between? [Ven, you got some 'splainin' to do.]

Yeah. It's the passage between worlds.

Don't think I've ever heard of it. You guys used it to travel between the worlds then?

Yup! We opened the Lanes Between with our Keyblades, and then we turned our Keyblades into Gliders and used it like a road.

...wait, does that mean your Keyblade's here? Could it do that now? [What the hell. Ventus stop speaking in tongues man.]

Sure is! I found it at the weapons shop, and now I can summon it again. I can't get it to change, though...

[It's kind of a bummer, but since he can't leave, all it could really do is get him places quicker. After a pause, he adds:]

But my armor still works.

...you have a lot of stuff that we don't. What armor are you talking about?

The armor I got from Master Eraqus. Terra and Aqua have it too.

It's supposed to protect us from the darkness.

How does it work though?

We just touch our shoulder pads, and it summons the armor. It's pretty easy!

[...maybe kind of jealous, but then he stops and wonder what the hell he'd need it for in the first place. He lives in the darkness. Right.]

Sora didn't have any of that. That's why I was asking.

Ted mentioned Sora, too. Who is he, exactly?

He's...another Keyblade Master. He's my age. He's the one who recently just locked a bunch of the worlds and saved them from the darkness.

Are you sure he's a Master? If he's our age, that's kinda young...

[Hmm. Give him a second, he's thinking about this.]

If he's saved worlds, then he's gotta be strong, but there's a difference between being a Keybearer and a Keyblade Master.
