Fifty-Second Keychain - [Voice/Action]

[Roxas has spent the last few weeks doing a great impression of a chameleon, blending in with his surroundings and making sure not many people saw or heard from him. But he's come to find that he can't keep hiding, and he can't keep running.

Thus, today, nearly three weeks after the attack on KH house and a week after Sanji revealed the location of the house to him, Roxas has finally decided to approach home to try and face his two best friends.

...or...not. To anyone passing by, they might see Roxas just pacing back and forth in the area, never straying far from what appears to be an empty lot. To anyone who can see the house however, it's very clear what's going on.]

This really shouldn't be that hard.

[Soon though he stops and pulls out his journal, leaning against a tree to keep an eye on the house while he flips to a new page. He takes a few moments to gather his thoughts, but soon he speaks into the journal.]

...anybody have any good advice for making apologies?

I guess, but can I really call it that when I left it open for attack like that?

[flaring]

I guess we all make mistakes, even really dumb ones like that. So, yeah, you can still call it that if you want.

[perplexme]

Then I guess it's home. [He pauses, examining Axel over a little.]

You look a lot better at least. Feeling okay?

[flaring]

[You're just getting a look, Roxas. You're a few weeks too late to be wondering how he's doing.]

[perplexme]

...[Sigh.] I get it. I messed up. I'm sorry, okay?

[flaring]

You know he was there for Xion, right?

[perplexme]

What? When did he tell you guys that?

[flaring]

He told me that right before the fight. Xion doesn't know.

[perplexme]

...what'd you say to him?

[flaring]

Not much.

[He doesn't feel like elaborating either.]

[perplexme]

But then why would he bother telling you that?

[flaring]

Probably to make me angry. But does it matter? You're kinda evading the issue here.

[perplexme]

What's the actual issue here then, Axel?

[flaring]

...guess there is none!

[perplexme]

That's a lie. I can tell. So...what is it?

[flaring]

Just be thankful he found me instead of her.

[perplexme]

I wish he hadn't found either of you.

[flaring]

What'd you think he was going to do?

[perplexme]

I thought he was going to take a lot longer to come up with something, and then I could have stopped him.

[flaring]

I think you're underestimating this guy because of who he looks like.

[perplexme]

Either that or I'm overestimating how much time I have. Maybe both.

[flaring]

Maybe. But either way, whatever this guy is it isn't normal.

[perplexme]

And we're still no closer to actually figuring out what he is. That's what really bugs me about all of this. [You know, beyond the whole "he's going around targeting my bffs" thing.]

[flaring]

[A beat.]

So. You coming home or not?

[perplexme]

[A quick nod.] Yeah. Definitely.
