Fifty-Fifth Keychain - [Action]

[Okay, it's warm. Very very warm. Even for the evening it's hotter than usual...but that doesn't explain why there's a blond boy wandering through the forest without his shoes and without his shirt. True to New Feather nature, the boy's wearing just the white cotton pants as he shuffles along through the forest.

It isn't until he gets to the center of town that he stops, staring at his surroundings with blank eyes. Well, great. None of this is registering.

Attention, Luceti. Would the owners of a blonde derp please come and claim your friend? He's not going anywhere for a while. It's a little too hard to process anything right now.

Is he staring at you? Or you? You seem like someone interesting.]

[ Roxas has been gone a few days now. Which sucks, as normally she's the one getting kidnapped -- it's not supposed to be her friends!

But she's been dealing as best she knows how -- trying to just carry on, because that's what you do, in Luceti. His things are still at the house, at least. It's reassuring to know he will, at least, come back.

... still, it's quite a surprise to see him in the middle of the village just in those new feather pants. Her expression draws down in confusion, but -- hey, she turned up in the New Feather dress for no goddamn reason once, right? Right. So she trots over. ]

Roxas! Are you okay?

[He tilts his head toward her when he hears her call out to him.

Roxas...right. That's his name. That's what they told him. He doesn't show any signs of recognizing the girl though.]

...

[He supposes that he ought to know her, but he doesn't. He can't pinpoint anything about her. So for now he'll just stare at her with that same vacant expression.]

[Unfortunately, Luke still can't tell the difference between Ventus and Roxas. And since he talks to the former more, he automatically this is the boy wandering in with a new feather's garb.]

... Ventus? Hey, Ven!

[Whoa, Roxas. What's with the New Feather garb? And the blank eyes?

This calls for a closer look!]

Roxas?

[...Ventus, huh? Roxas blinks a bit at the different name usage. That's not what the people back at the cell told him, but maybe they were wrong. He turns to look at Luke, mostly to acknowledge that he heard the redhead even if he doesn't quite know how to react.]

...

[He doesn't think to tell Luke otherwise, so sure, he'll be Ven. Maybe that's true. What will you do Luke. What will you do.]

[...! Whoa! Roxas' head jerks back ever-so-slightly. He wasn't...really expecting a look-alike. Maybe this is Ventus? Or maybe he's Ventus and this is Roxas. Roxas will approach you, Ven, though he's not going to speak.]

[He tilts his head this way and that, trying to determine what to make of this newcomer.]

Roxas. [Whether that's an indication that he is Roxas, or a question of if Ventus is Roxas, who knows.]

[When Naoto comes upon Roxas, she stares at him for a moment. There are still new feathers coming in? She could've sworn that they all had arrived already.

In any case, she walks up to him then notices the strange look in his eyes. They look...dead]

...Are you all right?

[Really, 'all right' is a term that can be used loosely. Roxas isn't quite sure how to react to the question, especially since he's never seen this...boy? Girl? Whomever before. There's a hesitant nod before he stops his head, turning it almost to say no before he stops moving all together again. Instead of giving her a straight answer then, Roxas just glances at the area around them.

Care to explain, Naoto?]

[Oh, right. It's been that time lately, hasn't it. Hisoka supposes it wouldn't hurt to be marginally helpful, since this guy's found a reason to be completely in the way.]

...Are you lost? [Please don't be lost. He doesn't want to deal with lost people.]

[Hey Hisoka. Roxas doesn't remember you in the slightest. He does recognize that he's being addressed though and raises an eyebrow. He's had a lot of people ask him questions he doesn't know the answer to lately. Thus far all he knows is that his name is Roxas. Or Ventus. He's not sure which just yet.

He settles for shaking his head no, though it's pretty clear that he has no idea what he's actually agreeing to. Instead, he'll pick at a loose thread on the pants absently, letting his gaze wander again.]

[The non-remembering part is mutual, since they only met before over journals, and briefly at that.]

...So. This is just what you do? Stand around staring creepily at people?

[He'd be offended if he could man. Instead, the only thing Hisoka gets is another blank look. He approaches the boy then, stopping in front of him and mostly staring behind him at his wings. He looks behind him at his own then, flapping them once or twice.

What. Is. This.]

[She watches him move his head, first to say yes, then to say no then just...deciding on no real response at all. Maybe the Malnosso did something to him before he was able to step foot here. Okay, it's most likely that they did get their hands on him, unless he just...naturally acts like this which probably isn't the case.

She's a little worried about his current condition so she'll keep asking questions for now, at least until she figures out where she should take him]

...Are you hurt anywhere?

[It's not in his range to convey what actually happened over the last five days. It doesn't help that he doesn't remember anyway. He shrugs at her question, holding his arms out in front of him to look them over before holding out each leg one at a time to also look them over before listlessly dropping the limbs. Nope. Doesn't seem hurt. Still, he moves a bit closer since she seems pretty adamant on sticking around.]

Who...? [And that's about as far as he gets with that sentence.]

So you're not lost, but you're not familiar with the wings. Good to know we're on the same page.

Look, you're obviously new here. There's a place new people get sent.

[As he holds out his arms and legs, she makes sure to inspect them herself. He's not bleeding which is a good sign, and it doesn't look like he's in pain, which is also good but she isn't just about to let her guard down yet. Who knows what kind of drugs they've tested on him.

She blinks when he moves closer but doesn't make any attempt in distancing herself. Well he finally spoke, even though it was just one word, but that's a bonus.] My name is Naoto Shirogane. And you are?

[That's a good question! He's had people call him Roxas, and someone call him Ventus, so...perhaps Roxas is the safest bet. Unless he's wrong. He concentrates on focusing on Naoto before answering.]

Roxas. Where...are we?

[Well maybe he doesn't want to go there. Ever think of that? :| Still, the fact that there's a place for people like him seems to spark a sense of encouragement in him.]

...where?

[That question alone heightens the possibility of him being a new feather but something just seems off about that theory.]

Well, Roxas-kun, we're in a world called Luceti. It seems you were able to make it to the village without any complications.

The welcome center isn't far from here. Could you handle being given directions? [Though the longer he's around this kid the more it seems like "where" isn't his problem as much as "who" is. It would be upsetting if Hisoka bothered to care enough.]

[...he is staring at Lina. And considering that Lina is merely sitting on the fountain eating a sandwich, she finds that odd.]

Hey, kid. I know I'm cute, but it's rude to stare!

[At first, he'll think that the blank look just means that he got it wrong. Gah, it's so easy to do, even though Luke has been trying hard to tell the difference between them. So, he widens his eyes and rubs the back of his head, trying to quietly laugh it off.]

O-Oh... Sorry. Roxas, right? I still can't really tell you guys apart...

[... heart bro, why are you staring. Sora's willing to attribute it to whatever the Malnosso did to him, but it is a little unsettling, even as he trots over upon spotting him.]

Roxas?

Hey, you okay? You look kinda...

[Blank. Plus, he's being kinda quiet. This is a little weird.]

[Well great. Is he Ventus or Roxas? :| He's still giving Luke that blank look, tilting his head at the sudden change.]

...Roxas. [And he's back to looking around again.] You?
