Man, what's up with this heat wave? Like three days last week and now the second day in a row this week? Axel, maybe you had it right. The ocean's sounding pretty good right now. It's probably too late in the day to get out there though.

[And maybe Axel was right about a few other things. Mainly, Roxas needs to be more of a teenager and less of researcher. So today he's taken the redhead's advice and enlisted in some tomfoolery of his own.

It just happens to be in the form of water balloons. A whole bucket of them, and he's sitting next to them outside of what would be KH house if it was visible to everyone.]

So...I've got a bunch of water balloons that are dying to be popped. Who's up for a fight? Some of you actually don't have a choice, but I'm pretty sure you know who you guys are.

[Don't ask him; he read about it in a book.]

[Soraaaa. Roxas is keeping an eye on the brunette as soon as it registers that Sora's coming out of the house. He's taken to checking on the boy now and then while he's been bedridden and healing, but he can't help but feel a bit pleased to see him outside.]

Hard to say no to mischief. [he nods slightly in the direction of the bucket. if anything, the sun will put a bit of color back in his face-- and no, Sora doesn't expect you to go easy on him, heart bro.]

Glad you see my point. [He lifts up the bucket and heads closer, showing Sora the multiple colors of half-full balloons threatening to spill out over the top.]

Well, a little persuasion might not hurt if they don't.

[he says as he bends over very slightly to examine Roxas' extensive arsenal-- and as he grabs a blue water balloon.]

[He watches that balloon being lifted into Sora's hand, grabbing a green one himself.]

...maybe five if they actually see the balloon. That should give them a good head-start, don't you think? Never knew you were so devious.

I have my moments.

[Roxas, for instance, sees the balloon-- does that mean he has five seconds to run? the way he's tossing that balloon up and down casually in one hand and smiling at Roxas seems to suggest so.]

[his ability to throw a water balloon like a torpedo, however? hope Roxas is ready.]

[Sorry Heart Dad, we are not stupid enough to stand still and will continue to run. However if Sora is anything like him, he knows the brunette has quite a pitching arm and really has no chance. He's really just delaying the inevitable and is bracing himself for impact.]

[you always were the smarter of the heart children-- I mean. Sora eventually gives up trying to keep up, winds up, and lobs the balloon at Roxas' retreating back. INCOMING.]

[Annnd fail on Roxas! He wasn't fast enough to outrun that balloon as it smashes against his back and breaks, cold water soaking through his shirt and eliciting a yelp of surprise.] Hey!

[...oh well, he's just going to lob the one in his hand right at Sora's chest instead.]

[it's a direct hit, cap'n! Sora stares down at his battle wound in shock for a minute, then he's stuck with the realization that he's already lobbed his only weapon.]

[do sheepish grins work on Nobodies, Roxas?]

[He just returns that grin with a slight smirk.]
