Hey Squall, have you come up with anything since the last time...? Just curious

[thoughtful sigh]...I knew it. Knew it wouldn't last.

I can't hear her heart [Pause, and then, because it's Roxas and he'd understand what he means -- Kairi's heart is pure light, so it's natural to Aros has an in-bred fear of it] or feel it.

[makes a noise, half-curious, half-understanding] I see. That just leaves you me and Sora then, doesn't it...

...well yeah, Yuffie too. But I meant from our world. Wonder what that means.

Yes. [He said as much to Sora the other day. Though he was 'born' on Hollow Bastion, Aros feels more like this is a home. But not this world, per se, but more of--] Flonne is my home. [Flonne, the person who defends him and his friend]

[The silence here is enough to make a pin drop. Aros, who has always thought of Roxas as better off than him on the whole, is claiming he doesn't have a home. For some reason, this both... makes him angry and makes him feel bad. However, he does comment with...] Sora. Yuffie. Axel. Namine.

[And then, after a notable pause--] Me.

...Naminé and Axel, both of them left me without warning, and Sora's gone enough that it's almost empty. [pauses himself, almost thinking that last bit over] Though you're right, you and Yuffie are still here. But even then, you have Flonne.

You are me. We are Sora. [His voice gives a certain... reverence to this fact. It's almost like he's suggesting that because they're both part-Sora, if they try, it's possible for them to have many friends. He thinks for a bit, and then he loosely throws out another terms, which is strange but seems to fit--] Brothers?

[well that one caught him off-guard. Always had this impression Aros would rather he not even be around, so sounds a bit surprised] You me and Sora? Think so? It does make sense, doesn't it...

Yes. [Oh, don't get him wrong, you still annoy the living tar out of him. But you're still a part of him, and seeing as how he has his worship/want to destroy relationship with Sora... well, they're both dear. Somehow]

[There is another pause here, but this one includes the clicking so nails to confirm he's there. He's silent for almost two minutes before he finally answers in a tone that almost seems... scared] Like I exist.

She isn't afraid and she wants to listen. [Again, both of which are very shocking to this heartless]

[knows Aros is correct in saying this, but chooses not to comment because they're not here and Flonne is and somehow it's just not adding up in Roxas' mind] Because it makes you feel real...alive.

...Yes. Heartless devour. [With an unsaid tone of 'that's all we do']

But you would never devour the heart of Flonne, or Yuffie or any other friend would you.
