And just when things were starting to be peaceful around here. ~~I thought I wouldn't~~ ~~I can't believe~~ ~~This isn't fair...~~ Forget it.

Raine, I was going to try and go to school but it'll have to wait for a while. Sorry. Things have been a little...weird lately. What's everybody else been up to, besides throwing parties and planning summer things. Just curious.

...all right, but only because I trust you and you might get it. How much have I told you about my life back at "home"?

You told me you were a "nobody" and that most of your memories of your normal life were fabricated.

Yeah, that's all true still. I never mentioned Organization XIII though?

If you did, it was in passing and I didn't remember it. [Or he forgot entirely. Highly likely.]

Okay. Organization XIII is a group made up of Nobodies...Nobodies like me that are strong and have human form. There were 14 of us at one point, but one by one they started dwindling down.

The Organization's goal was to reclaim the hearts they lost and become whole again. You know how I said that I'm Sora's Nobody which means he's the person that makes me whole? The other Nobodies, they have an Other too, and the whole point was to figure out how to become whole again. It was originally started by six scientists, including the superior, Xemnas.

Each member of the Organization is given a number based on when they joined. They're also given a title based on the special abilities they possess. Like...Axel. Axel was part of the Organization too as number VIII, Flurry of Dancing Flames. He controls fire. Also here in Luceti you have Xigbar, number II, the Freeshooter who controls arrows and space, Vexen, number IV, the Chilly Academic who controls ice, Zexion, number VI, the Cloaked Schemer who actually is just pretty damn clever and uses illusions and a giant book, Demyx, number VIIII, the Melodious Nocturne who uses his sitar to control water, Larxene, number XII, the Savage Nymph who controls lightening and knives.

...and then me. Number XIII, the Key of Destiny. Being Sora's Nobody makes me able to wield the Keyblade and control attributes of light.

That's what made Xemnas notice me right after I was born in Twilight Town. He gave me the name Roxas and took me back to be part of the Organization. I wanted answers, he seemed like the kind of guy who'd help me get there. Problem is it took too long. I waited about a year working with the Organization to get our hearts back before I said screw it and left. Up and walked out. Axel tried stopping me but I left to find Sora on my own anyway.

Problem was, without me, the Organization was pissed and needed me back to complete the goal. At this point, numbers IV, V, VI, XI, and XII had all been killed by Sora, so there was only about half of us left. But I found Sora and remerged with him, so the Organization started going after him since Sora was working to stop them from reaching their goal.

Make sense so far?

So as it turned out, one by one the rest of the Organization was killed off by Sora except for Axel who was working as a double-agent more than anything and sacrificed himself so Sora could continue to defeat the others and except for me, for obvious reasons. Sora defeated Xemnas, everything turned out great, end of story.

Except now Xemnas is here, in Luceti. Xemnas is in Luceti and he's reforming the Organization. Everybody's willingly falling back into line except for me and Axel. He's after us to use us to complete whatever plan he's got now.

...you said that the original goal of Organization XIII is to 'become whole' again, right?

Yeah that about sums it up.

How?

Becoming whole by regaining their hearts. They want to rejoin their Others, or take over them.

Wait, so...you're Sora's Nobody. So if you...joined with him, I guess, what would happen...?

What do you think...?

...it won't happen, right?

Dunno. It hasn't so far in Luceti, which is actually sort of strange considering we had merged together before Sora was on the islands. But it's inevitable, eventually one day Sora and I will have to join together again so he can be at full strength and I can be whole.

But...it's what I wanted at one point, just like every other Nobody. I should be grateful, Naminé and I are the only ones who were able to become whole again.

[well, Roxas takes his silence as a reason to continue]...I'm...not sure that's what I want now though. That's not selfish, right?

Hell no. It's not selfish to want to be your own person.

But by being my own person, Sora and I would never be at full strength. And I was one of the only ones who could be whole.

So what if you aren't at full strength? There's two of you.

It wouldn't be fair to Sora. The only reason Sora was able to save the worlds was because he had me too. Sora says that he wants me to have my own life too but it still wouldn't be fair.

Why? Sora said it's fine.

I don't know, Cloud. We're just not allowed to no matter how much either of us wants it, it's just how it works.

Yeah, well fuck what you're allowed to do. I like you better than Sora anyhow.
