Fifty-Fifth Keychain - [Action]

[Okay, it's warm. Very very warm. Even for the evening it's hotter than usual...but that doesn't explain why there's a blond boy wandering through the forest without his shoes and without his shirt. True to New Feather nature, the boy's wearing just the white cotton pants as he shuffles along through the forest.

It isn't until he gets to the center of town that he stops, staring at his surroundings with blank eyes. Well, great. None of this is registering.

Attention, Luceti. Would the owners of a blonde derp please come and claim your friend? He's not going anywhere for a while. It's a little too hard to process anything right now.

Is he staring at you? Or you? You seem like someone interesting.]

[He was going to ask her another question, but the hat has suddenly become his target of interest. He's going to move his head to follow the hat's movements. Hello removable headwear. Roxas is going to attempt to prod at it.]

[When he stops talking, she looks at him to make sure he's okay but notices his gaze is following her hat. Up...down...up...this is amusing.

Normally she doesn't let anyone touch it since it's pretty much her favorite hat ever, but it doesn't seem like he'll tear it to shreds or anything so she holds it towards him a little]

Do you like it?

[He'll take it and just hold it out at about arm's length, giving it another once-over.] What is it for?

You wear it on your head, though people wear them for different reasons, like fashion or simply to shade themselves from the sun. [Has he never worn a hat before?]

[Roxas has never seen a hat before as far as he knows. He's slowly gaining a sense of life, but the Malnosso were nice enough to erase everything but his name temporarily. So don't mind him tugging the hat this way and that, being careful not to tug too hard.] And you?

[You better be careful with her hat Roxas, even though you're nice and pretty much clueless, she has her eye on you] Personally, I just like to wear it, I can't say there is a true reason behind it.

[At least he won't eat it or something worse.] ...ah. [And okay, putting it back onto Naoto's head, never mind the fact it's backwards. He furrows his eyebrows a bit, trying to formulate his next question.] How long... [And then he stops. He's trying to figure out how long Naoto's been around. Give him a sec, he'll try again in a moment.]

[That would scare her just a little if he did eat it. She blinks when he puts it on her head backwards but smiles nonetheless and fixes it. She can tell he's trying to say more so she'll just stay quiet and wait]

[He watches her fix it, noting how the hat should properly be worn before attempting to articulate his thought again.] Have you been here? How long...?

I've been here...for a little over two months now. [Time flies doesn't it.]

[Huh. That's a long time. Longer than Roxas thinks he's been alive.] ...alone?

[She shakes her head, smiling a little] No, not alone. Luckily two of my friends from my own world were brought here as well. I've also been able to make a few friends here in that time.

[The smile's new to him, but it seems like a good sign. Clearly Naoto's pleased with this, and that's yet more info for him to file away. Real people...real emotions...were these what the Malnosso told him about?] How?

How--did my friends arrive here? [blink]

No. [He shakes his head, but he's back to looking around the village. How do you ask someone how they make friends anyway?]

Then what is it? [She's curious about what he's trying to ask]

Your friends here. [He looks up, focusing back on Naoto.] ...met how?

[She blinks then looks out into the village. Thinking about that for a moment]

How I met my friends here...Either they approached me or I accidentally came upon them. After we met, we began talking. There was never much to it. [A small smile]

[Storing away information. That doesn't seem too bad, doesn't seem too hard. Does that mean that this is considered friendship? That's what he's not clear on, but he won't ask.] Right. ...easy. [His wings flap again, a few loose feathers falling out and into the fountain behind them. Whoops. That can't be good...hold on, Naoto, trying to scoop those up.]

It isn't hard at all I assure you. It's basically what we're doing now. [This coming from the girl who had friend-making issues as a child. She glances at his wings then watches the feathers float down into the sparkling water]

...I forgot to mention, if you feel any pain that is caused by the wings, don't worry, it will pass quickly.

[He tilts his head, flapping his wings again. The friendship thing is on the backburner, seeing how he's focusing on his wings. They. Don't hurt, surprisingly. Are they supposed to? He shakes his head, flapping them again to get across the point that they're totally unharmed. But then we're back to the subject at hand.] ...friends then?

[She takes the flapping of his wings as a way to say that they feel fine and so she nods. He's pretty lucky, hers hurt like hell when she first arrived. But at the question, she can't help but smile gently]

Yes, friends.

[Roxas has decided that friends are pretty neat, despite what the Malnosso told him. So in return, he gives a slight tentative grin, barely there.] Good...Naoto. [Mannn he's going to owe her an explanation once he comes to his senses. But for now he's pretty pleased with his progress.]

[Oh shi-- did he just grin? That's probably one of the first happy emotions he's shown to her since they started talking. It makes her happy that he's showing a more than just a serious or worried face. Yeah he's defiantly going to have to explain himself later on.

But wasn't she supposed to be taking him somewhere?] Oh, I should probably take you to the Welcome Center so you can find a temporary lodging there.

[Zombiexas isn't very aware of the ways of emoting yet, so that smile disappears back into his neutral blank face when he speaks again.] Okay. [A center, huh? He wonders what it's like, what it does. Maybe he will find others like him. So he steadily gets to his feet, looking at Naoto patiently. Lead the way.]
